How could we leave wonderful Beamsville without stopping in at some marvelous vineyards? I had no idea we had so many just outside of Niagara on the Lake. We had exceptional wine and took a lot of pictures! Here is a quick and dirty recap of our wonderful time!
A 5K run followed by a food truck festival didn’t slow us down and we stopped by Organized Crime to try their offerings. We loved the name and also the story behind their beautiful wine labels (you can’t beat two fighting parishes and a stolen organ!)
Our favourite wine from them: Pinot Gris
Next up Fielding Estates – We loved the view from their deck!
Our favourite wine from them: Pinot Noir
We started day 2 at Peninsula Ridge Estates and loved their barn style space
We took some time out from our tastings to do a quick wine review about an interesting tasting wine
Our favourite: 2011 Reserve Syrah
Next up Rosewood Estates had us buzzing with their honey mead!
Our favourite wine: Mead Noir (honey and pinot noir)
We were famished and fuelled up at Angels Gate! That’s right, not only a stellar vineyard but amazing food too! Adriane and I shared the East Coast Platter:
Jackie decided to go with the Breaded Lobster Burger:
After lunch we enjoyed their patio with lovely views of their winery.
Our Favourite: Late Harvest Riesling
As they say, ‘No rest for the weary’ and we moved on to Megalomaniacs newly constructed building.
After our tastes we had a little bit of fun:
Our favourite: Cabernet Franc
Just next door we stopped in at Ridgepoint Wines and were pleasantly surprised by their White Cabernet! Isabelle and I recently reviewed it on my birthday with Isabelle!
At the end of the day we did 10 vineyards! Can you believe it!
Looking forward to enjoying all of these wines with lovely friends and family very soon! Thanks for taking care of us Vineland! We can’t wait to visit you again soon!
