So glad I was able to complete the Sporting Life 10K again this year with @venntastic and @squiggydutt! I was slow to start my running year so I was very happy finishing sub 60 minutes! Hoping I continue to improve my times as I do more races this season!
Knowing that most brunch restaurants in Liberty Village would be rammed with runners we decided to go to a pub, the Brazen Head.
We were happy to learn they had a special menu just for the runners!
I ordered the waffles to start:
They looked great but I was disappointed with these. The waffles had a weird texture and by the time they arrived to the table they were already too soggy to really enjoy. I ordered a side of peameal bacon which is always a good idea.
Squiggy ordered the Liberty Fried Sandwich which comes with awesome sweet potato fries:
Great delivery here. There’s a reason why sweet potato fries have become a pub staple in Toronto. They’re that perfect crispy and sweet side to any meal. Venn ordered the Irish Fry, a smörgåsbord of breakfast options piled on to one plate.
The best meal of the bunch. Sausages were juicy and the home fries were crispy and well seasoned.
To cap off a great day, we ordered the special caesars. A perfect drink for a post-run celebration. Sadly our blurriest picture:
Not a bad breakfast (save for the waffles) and next we come back we are definitely getting that Irish Fry! Here’s to more Irish Fry Breakfasts, Double Caesars and lots and lots of running! Cheers!
