Coco*a and I adopted new monikers for our trip to Paris. We were determined to try every macaron that Paris had to offer.
Our first Macaron stop was on our first evening in Paris exploring Le Marais. We encounter gold bull dogs and very cool optical illusion art.
But our must stunning find was Cafe Pouchkine
They not only had a gorgeous and ornate space but probably the prettiest cakes, tarts and yes, of course, macaron:
Our next location had us wandering the Latin Quarter. At first we thought we had planned for the wrong day to go:
But huzzah! Eric Kayser was open, here’s a peek at their offerings. The Macaron were excellent but we loved the financiers the BEST from this bakery.
Now when we say every macaron, we mean every one we could get our hands on. And we didn’t turn up our noses when we arrived at McDonald’s:
Honestly, they were pretty good for a fast food version!
Pierre Hermé is known for his creative flavour combinations.
These were delicious, his flavour for fall was Pumpkin and Corn!
We almost left Paris without trying macaron from one of their oldest establishments Fauchon. Luckily they had a stand at the train station!
Last but certainly not least, Ladurée
We went here not once, not twice but three times! We couldn’t get enough!
Thank you Paris for a truly delicious trip! I can’t wait for my next visit (and accompanying sugar high) when I see you again.
