We end up at some of our FAVOURITE brunch places through recommendations and this one came from @PRCommLady through our friend @KTw1tty. This is the first off of her list of top brunch places, and if any of the others are like this, well let’s just say we’re going to be in brunching heaven for the next couple of weeks.
I loved the decor of this place, it feels very homey without being dowdy. There’s country charm without barnyard overkill, and I’m a sucker for pickling jars on display.
We were lucky that it happened to be Quinta’s #sparklingsaturday! As they say, Brunch without Booze is just Sad Late Breakfast. Truer words were never spoken! And we got a lovely review from Coco*a on the Portuguese Sparkling Wine they served:
So what was for breakfast? If you’re looking for something hearty to fuel your day, look no further than their special Meaty Hangover Cure.
Duck Confit, Chorizo and Pork Belly will cure any ailment. They’re served on a bird’s nest of rosti with a poached egg and drizzled with hollandaise. Don’t worry they didn’t forget the veggies, you get a side salad too!
Coco*a wanted that Portuguese flavour and went with the Piri Piri Cornish Hen Sandwich.
She loved the flavour and the crusty baguette it was served on. If only I worked close enough to have this sandwich for lunch every day!
Thanks to Quinta for a very memorable meal! And to Chef Zimmerman for coming out to say ‘hi!’ Overall a fantastic brunch and a hidden gem in Little Portugal!
Hoping your Saturdays are just as Sparkling!
