Becoming Katniss

Vanessa surprised me last month with a belated birthday present, an hour lesson learning the fine art of the bow and arrow with Silver Swords Armouries.   Who wouldn’t want to learn how? Look how badass you look!

As Rob says, archery is both easier and harder than it looks! Guiding the arrow to hit the target doesn’t end until the arrow clears your bow.  For would-be Legolases  we did an OK job I say!

After our lesson we were famished and stopped by the Oakville Spoon and Fork. We couldn’t decide between dishes so we opted to do their “All You Can Taste Menu”.

We tried a variety of menu items including Pineapple Rice, Hot and Sour Soup and TonKatsu. We weren’t fond of their green curry but get a load of this sashimi:

Sashimi, Yum!

Over all we had an amazing meal! I definitely look forward to going here or to one of their other locations again.

So what’s next for Vanessa and I? Well I think we’ll be taking up some more archery lessons with Silver Swords Armouries in the future! The great thing is we can change up our lessons and learn other skills like sword fighting and knife throwing so watch out!
